We're home!

Here are some more pics of Maleah. We got to come home yesterday afternoon, and we are all doing great (besides for being sleep-deprived, of course :) .

Maleah is Here!!

Maleah Grace Hollister has finally made her appearance! I won't go into all the details now, but it has been a very long day and a half. We went into the hospital to be induced yesterday at 3:30 and she was born this morning (April 3) at 9:44. She is 8 lb, 8 oz, and 21 inches long, and she has tons of hair! Daddy did great and was a ton of help- I couldn't have made it without him! Right now Maleah is in the warmer in the nursery because her temp is low, but other than that she is doing great. Overall I am doing well, but have not been able to get out of bed all day because I lost a lot of blood- I am going to be getting a blood transfusion in a bit- sounds like fun, huh? :) Because of all the complications I haven't been able to be with Maleah as much as I would have liked today, but I am just thankful that she is healthy. I want to say thank-you to everyone who was praying for us yesterday and today! Here are some pics from just after she was born and also her crib at home- we finally got her bedding and I love it! The room is still not done, but we are getting closer. :)

Buca's!

Tonight we went out to Buca's with mom and dad, Megan, Eric, Anna, and Becky for Becky's birthday (her b-day is April 1st). It was a lot of fun, and we ordered way too much food! We even ordered an eggplant dish that is supposed to induce labor- I didn't like it too much, but I forced myself to eat it- I am willing to try anything at this point! I'll let you all know if it works or not... :)

Well, I finally am getting a new pic on here- that is me at 39 weeks and 2 days. Only 5 days 'til my due date! Now it is Holly and Meagan's turn to start the belly pics!

Update

I don't have any pictures to post today since I am at work right now, but I just thought I would give a little update. Becky (with help from Susie, Mom, and Megan) threw me a baby shower last weekend and it turned out really well. I (or, I should say, the baby), got lots of cute outfits, necessities, and stuff for the baby's room. Check out Becky's blog to see some pictures. I will definitely be in a lot of trouble if the ultrasound tech was wrong, and we have a boy instead of a girl! It seems that almost everything I have is pink. :) We are still waiting to finish decorating the baby's room- we ordered a dresser and bedding set from a store in St. Cloud over 12 weeks ago, and they still haven't come in yet! I will post a picture when we get it done, though. Other than that, there isn't a whole lot going on with us- just getting ready for baby. I am only 2 weeks from my due date now, so for sure in less than 4 weeks we will have a little newborn to take care of! Kind of scary, but I wouldn't have it any other way!

This is kind of a random picture, but I thought it was kind of funny. My coworkers thought it would be funny to spell my name out on my office floor with carpet cleaner- the only problem is, they ran out of the cleaner, so my name is still partially visible (not as obvious as in the picture, though).

We Finally Got Some Snow!

Last weekend we got our first big snowfall of the year (pretty pathetic being it is the end of February!). We got about 12 inches, with more coming this Wednesday-Friday. Corey and Cody rode their snowmobiles for a little while on Sunday afternoon. Corey wanted me to take some pictures just to prove to Jeremy that he gets to have fun too! :)

My week so far...

On Monday night Megan and Anna came over for a little while (along with Zach, Kellie, and Susannah). Anna even got to be the first to test out our new crib.



Today was my co-worker Beth's last day at the credit union (she is the one in the blue shirt), so we all went out to Bennigan's after work. I have worked with her for more than a year and a half, so it is strange to think we won't be working together anymore. I was glad to have something to do though, because Corey is on a snowmobile trip in Michigan right now, so it is way too lonely at home! :)

Eight Weeks to Go! (hopefully)

Only eight weeks until my due date, March 27! I can't believe we have less than 2 months to go. We got our crib last weekend, and just finished putting it together tonight. Now we are waiting for our dresser and bedding to come in. Phil painted the baby room when they were home for Christmas, and it looks really good! It is hard to tell in these pictures, but the walls are light green. I figured I should get a belly shot too, since I haven't been too good about those so far!

Macy's Christmas Display

While Jeremy and Jo and Phil and Holly were here, we went to the Macy's Christmas display in downtown Minneapolis. They did Mary Poppins this year. It was an extremely long wait (I posted a picture of us standing in line)- I think we were in line for about an hour and a half. The display itself only took about 10 minutes to go through, so it was a little bit disappointing, but we still had a good time.
