Maleah's First Road Trip!

Last week we decided to drive out to Cleveland to see Jeremy, Jo, and Ryan. We left on Sunday morning for the 12 hour drive, but it actually turned into a 15 hour drive since Maleah liked to take her time whenever we stopped. :) I hung all the toys we had around her carseat to help keep her entertained. Overall, she did really well, but I could tell she was glad to be out of that carseat at the end of the day!

Maleah's Many Faces

Well, Maleah has been keeping me quite busy, which is why it has been a while since my last post. Here are some pictures that show her wide range of facial expressions- I actually don't have any pictures yet of her two favorite faces, though- her crying face and her scowling/glaring face. :) She is a month old now- time sure does fly!

Easter Sunday

We spent most of the day at my parent's house along with aunts, uncles, and cousins. Then we went to Corey's parents house in the evening where Corey and Cody looked for Easter eggs. :)

Maleah is already wearing daddy's clothes- Corey wore this sleeper 24 years ago!





























Barb and Ranae Peterson came by to see Maleah, and Corey changed his first dirty diaper! Yes, he can be a bit dramatic. :)

We're home!

Maleah is Here!!

Maleah Grace Hollister has finally made her appearance! I won't go into all the details now, but it has been a very long day and a half. We went into the hospital to be induced yesterday at 3:30 and she was born this morning (April 3) at 9:44. She is 8 lb, 8 oz, and 21 inches long, and she has tons of hair! Daddy did great and was a ton of help- I couldn't have made it without him! Right now Maleah is in the warmer in the nursery because her temp is low, but other than that she is doing great. Overall I am doing well, but have not been able to get out of bed all day because I lost a lot of blood- I am going to be getting a blood transfusion in a bit- sounds like fun, huh? :) Because of all the complications I haven't been able to be with Maleah as much as I would have liked today, but I am just thankful that she is healthy. I want to say thank-you to everyone who was praying for us yesterday and today! Here are some pics from just after she was born and also her crib at home- we finally got her bedding and I love it! The room is still not done, but we are getting closer. :)

Buca's!

Tonight we went out to Buca's with mom and dad, Megan, Eric, Anna, and Becky for Becky's birthday (her b-day is April 1st). It was a lot of fun, and we ordered way too much food! We even ordered an eggplant dish that is supposed to induce labor- I didn't like it too much, but I forced myself to eat it- I am willing to try anything at this point! I'll let you all know if it works or not... :)

Do I look Uncomfortable Yet?

Well, I finally am getting a new pic on here- that is me at 39 weeks and 2 days. Only 5 days 'til my due date! Now it is Holly and Meagan's turn to start the belly pics!

Update

I don't have any pictures to post today since I am at work right now, but I just thought I would give a little update. Becky (with help from Susie, Mom, and Megan) threw me a baby shower last weekend and it turned out really well. I (or, I should say, the baby), got lots of cute outfits, necessities, and stuff for the baby's room. Check out Becky's blog to see some pictures. I will definitely be in a lot of trouble if the ultrasound tech was wrong, and we have a boy instead of a girl! It seems that almost everything I have is pink. :) We are still waiting to finish decorating the baby's room- we ordered a dresser and bedding set from a store in St. Cloud over 12 weeks ago, and they still haven't come in yet! I will post a picture when we get it done, though. Other than that, there isn't a whole lot going on with us- just getting ready for baby. I am only 2 weeks from my due date now, so for sure in less than 4 weeks we will have a little newborn to take care of! Kind of scary, but I wouldn't have it any other way!
