I went to a wedding on Saturday and met up with Coach Halsted, my basketball coach from Pillsbury. After the wedding she came over to our house for a little while. It was really nice to talk with her- she is always a big encouragement to me. :)

On Sunday we drove down to Owatonna for a picnic that Megan put together. Eric will be leaving for basic training on Wednesday, so it was kind of a going away party for him. Besides for the rain and mosquitos, we had a lot of fun.

Back To Reality
Well, we made it back from NC and are just trying to get back into "real life". We had an awesome time there- we also went to Ohio and saw Jeremy, Jo, and Ryan (my new nephew). I will try to post some pictures as soon as I get a chance (they are all on my home computer). Corey is keeping busy working his normal job plus side jobs in the evenings, and I am keeping busy making up some hours at work from vacation. Next Tuesday and Wednesday we are going up to Duluth for the Fourth of July, so we will be getting another "mini vacation". Other than that, there isn't a whole lot going on here, but I will post pics from NC as soon as I can.

I'm Back!

Sorry for the long silence!! I have been really busy lately, so the blog got a bit neglected. But I am back now!! We just got a new car a week ago- I love it, but I am still trying to get used to driving a manual!! I also took a picture of our house the other day- it isn't a very good one, but my camera battery died right after I took it, so I didn't get a better one. I love my little porch- it could use some flowers though!!This Tuesday I will (hopefully) be having my first property closing (besides for my own). Corey's parents were kind enough to let me be their real estate agent and help them look for a house (even though they know more about buying a house than I do!). So the closing is planned for this Tuesday morning- pray that it goes smoothly!
I also have just started a "side" job that I do from home. I sort through mailed in rebate offers, and input them into a computer program for a company based in Young America, MN. Right now I am just doing that for 2 hours a day, but with a full time job besides, It is more than enough to keep me busy!
Well, that is pretty much it for now- I'll try not to wait a month before I update again! :)

Easter Sunday

Megan, Becky, and I all had some fun hiding Easter eggs outside for Zach, Kellie, and Susannah to find. They did manage to find them all (with a little help from us!). It was a beautiful day- sunny and in the 70's. Corey and I spent the first part of the day at my parents for dinner and the egg hunt, and then we went to his parent's house in the evening. We rode our bikes from our house to my parent's house (about 2 miles), and although I thought it was a good ride, I don't think Corey enjoyed it so much!

Test Drive
Tuesday, March 28, 2006

Last week Corey put his four wheeler on ebay, and when the listing ended on Saturday, no one had bid up to our reserve yet so we thought that we would have to try to sell it some other way. But then on Sunday afternoon we got an e-mail from one of the bidders who still wanted to work out a deal. He was from Iowa, so Corey loaded up the wheeler and we headed down to Owatonna to meet him. Afterwords we decided to stop in and see my sister and my niece (who live in Owatonna)- I can't believe how big Anna is! She is adorable. :)

Our Weekend
On Saturday Corey and I went with his parents to look at some parade homes- it is always fun to look at what is new on the market- a couple of the houses were unbelievable (with prices to match)! Not only do we like to look at different floorplans and features, it is also a great way to get some decorating ideas! The best builder that we saw was Hanson Builders- their homes are awesome! Then on Saturday night we went bowling with Cody and Ranae, and I broke 100 for the first time! I even beat Corey- it was lots of fun. :)

Phil & Holly's Going Away Dinner

On Sunday afternoon we had a going away dinner for Phil and Holly at our house. My parents, my sister Megan and her husband Eric, my sister Becky (she is the one holding the babies), and Nick and Kassy were all there. It was fun, yet sad because we all knew the goodbyes were coming! I am happy for them though, because I know God has wonderful things in store for them (which hopefully include coming back to Minnesota someday! )

Last weekend Corey and I went to Becky's house and Corey took her new bike out for a test drive. I think he may have enjoyed it a little too much- now he wants to buy one!!
